Report title: Free Radical Strategy for Synthesis of Azaarene Derivatives

Jiang Zhiyong, professor, doctoral supervisor, dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Henan Normal University, and winner of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth. From 1992 to 2004, he studied at Zhejiang University and obtained his bachelor's and doctorate degrees; from 2004 to 2009, he engaged in post-doctoral research at Hong Kong Baptist University and National University of Singapore; he returned to China in August 2009 to conduct research independently. He has long been engaged in the research of asymmetric hydrogen bond catalysis. At present, he has developed an efficient visible light organic photosensitizer DPZ, and through the establishment of a synergistic catalytic system of DPZ and chiral protic acid, a series of novel and efficient important chemical conversions based on free radical reaction pathways have been realized.
