For thoroughly studying and implementing the content of President Xi’s important speech at the Summary and Commendation Conference of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the spirit of Xi’s reply to the Chinese winter athletes, Cuiying Honors College（CHC）held an information session on the afternoon of April 28, in room A302, Tianshan Hall, Yuzhong Campus, whose topic is "Learn from the good examples in winter sports, and strive to be a role model".CHC invited Yan Ziyan and Duo Lan, who are members of the "Tsing Ma Project" Backbone College Student Theory Propaganda Group, as the keynote speakers of the session.

Before the information session begins, in order to activate the atmosphere and enhance the enthusiasm of the students to participate in physical exercise, the college invited teachers and students from the Department of Physical Education and Research of Lanzhou University to lead the CHC students to practise “Lanzhou University calisthenics-the rhythm of youth” and “Lanzhou University calisthenics-yoga stretching” to remind students to take care of their health, and exercise regularly to keep fit.

Two students from the Tsingma Propaganda Group preached the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympics from different angles. Yan Ziyan started her speech from the phenomenon that the mascots of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, "Bing Dwen Dwen" and "Shuey Rhon Rhon", have been popular all over the country, and introduced people's attention to winter sports caused by the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, which promoted the vigorous development of winter sports industry and opened a new era of global winter sports.The Olympic Games not only provide a stage for athletes from all countries to show themselves, but also build the best learning and communication platform for promoting world peace, enhancing mutual understanding, realizing cultural exchange and integration, and spreading civilization and friendship. It has greatly enhanced our national self-confidence and has other positive impact. The spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, with the overall situation in mind, with self-confidence and openness, daring to face difficulties, pursuing excellence and creating the future together, is also inspiring young people in the new era to strive to shoulder the historical mission of "Please count on me, on the way to a stronger country".

Duo Lanintroduced the cultural exchanges among countries in the Winter Olympic Games to the students with the theme of " Build cultural bridges using ice and snow". The Winter Olympic Games is not only a global event for athletes to show their competitive strength and carrying forward the Olympic spirit, but also a visual feast to show Chinese culture to the whole world. The Chinoiserie elements in the Olympic Winter Games fully demonstrate the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and show the credible, lovely and respectable image of China in the new era and the spirit of hospitality, sincerity and friendliness of the Chinese people. The Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games help people witnessed the image of the Chinese people as confident, open, inclusive, friendly and sincere once again, and also promoted mutual understanding, solidarity and friendship among people all over the world.

By participating the information session on the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, students expressed that they should follow the example of Chinese skilled athletes in winter sports, carry forward the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and advance bravely towards the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with more firm self-confidence and resolute courage.

After the information session, teacher Li Zhaojun introduced the requirements of recent epidemic prevention and control to the students, reminding them to safeguard their own health and to be vigilant to prevent internet and telecommunications fraud. She also notified the students that the college had equipped each classroom with a mobile phone bag, advocating that people put their mobile phones into the mobile phone bag before the class to improve the efficiency of classroom learning.
