On July 9, Cuiying Honors College organized the 2022 freshmen to attend Xinglong Mountain Base for quality development activities. This event aimed to enhance understanding, strengthen students' team spirit, sense of responsibility, cooperation, and awareness of the big picture, and inspire students' potential.

The event began with an ice-breaking session where students got to know each other through a "name chain" game, formed four teams, and elected team leaders. Each team designed their name, emblem, slogan, and song. The teams made their debut presentations, showcasing their creativity and receiving continuous applause.

The first main activity was "Entering the Market." This activity tested the teams' information-gathering, communication, and imaginative skills. Each team had three attempts to collaborate and achieve their target. After all teams completed the task, the coach interpreted the content depicted, which contained elements of patriotism and the long history of traditional culture.

In the second activity, the teams were divided into two groups. One group stayed on the ground to play the "Three Challenges" game, which required following the coach's commands to perform specific actions and shout out commands. This activity aimed to improve reaction time, team cooperation, adherence to rules, and finding optimal solutions. The other group went to the high ropes course, where, with encouragement from teachers and students, they completed a round trip on the high platform, greatly exercising their courage and perseverance and highlighting the importance of teamwork.

The final activity was the "Graduation Wall." Students had to climb over a 4-meter wall by forming human ladders—this required coordination between the support team forming the human ladder and the receiving team at the top. After discussion, female students climbed first, followed by male students. Throughout the process, students cheered and encouraged each other, with the human ladder showing resilience and the receiving team pulling hard. Eventually, everyone reached the top of the wall, earning the admiration and approval of all present. The Graduation Wall activity was a highlight of the quality development event, symbolizing teamwork and cooperation to achieve a common goal, blooming the flower of unity under the northwestern sun, with honors belonging to every student who bravely climbed higher.

This quality development activity facilitated mutual understanding among students from different majors, strengthened friendships, fortified physical fitness, and boosted morale. With the motto "A time will come to ride the wind and cleave the waves; 1 will set my cloud-white sail and cross the sea, with raves", it is believed that with the experience gained from this event, the 2022 students of Cuiying Honors College will approach their studies and research in basic disciplines with a positive and spirited attitude, achieving even greater success.
