On July 10th, the 2021 Orientation Conference and Summer School Opening Ceremony of Cuiying Honors College of Lanzhou Uversity was held in the C302 Lecture Hall of Tianshan Hall, Yuzhong Campus. He Deyan, Assistant to the President and Executive Dean of Cuiying Honors College, Huang Haifeng, Secretary of the Party Branch of Cuiying Honors College, Wang Yongren, Deputy Dean of Cuiying Honors College, all faculty and staff of Cuiying Honors College and 2020 students attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by Shang Sheng, deputy secretary of the Party branch of Cuiying Honors College.

In his speech, He Deyan introduced the basic situation of Cuiying Honors College and put forward three hopes to the 2020 new students: one is to maintain a healthy attitude and to have gratitude; the other is to cultivate a noble moral character, and to be down-to-earth; third, we must cherish learning opportunities and be brave to innovate.

Huang Haifeng gave students a lively entrance education class with the theme of "Aspiration, Great Virtue, Talents, and Responsibilities".

Wang Yongren introduced the college's summer and elementary school arrangements, college teaching work and student exchanges. Shang Sheng introduced the basic situation of the college's student education management and other work.

Ma Kexing from the 2018 Chemistry Class and Zhong Haitian from the 2020 Mathematics Class as representatives of the students and freshmen respectively spoke.

The 2021 summer school of Cuiying Honors College starts on July 10 and ends on July 31. A total of 8 professional courses were offered and 17 academic lectures were held, all open to the whole school.
