On the early morning of November 15, the World Finals of the International Genetical Engineered Machine Competition, iGEM, officially came to an end. Affected by the epidemic, the event was took place online. A total of 352 teams from 41 countries and regions around the world have participated in the world's first-class famous institutions such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University, Oxford University, Stanford University, Kyoto University. Lanzhou University Delegation LZU-CHINA won the gold medal in this competition.

Lanzhou University Delegation LZU-China was composed of 14 undergraduate students from the School of Life Sciences, Cuiying Honors College, School of Mathematics, School of Information Science and Technology, and School of Arts, guided by the cross-study team from School of Life Medical Science of Lanzhou University. The main instructors included Professor Li Xiangkai, Fenghuyuan, Jin Weilin and many other teachers. The project is funded by the School of Life Sciences.
