On the afternoon of Nov. 6, Mr. Huang Haifeng, Party Secretary of Cuiying Honors College, had a discussion with students around growing up and becoming successful offline.

During the meeting, Ms. Huang Haifeng first asked about the students' study and life during the epidemic. After hearing about the online teaching situation of students during the epidemic, she hoped that students could ensure the efficiency of online classes, relieve stress and maintain physical and mental health through appropriate physical exercise after studying. At the same time, Ms. Huang Haifeng hoped that students would develop good hygiene habits, participate in the college management together, overcome various difficulties and overcome the epidemic together. As for the problems reflected by the students, such as the lack of library materials and the lack of communication between different classes, Ms. Huang Haifeng replied one by one on how to solve and implement measures.

On the afternoon of November 7, Prof. He Deyan, Executive Dean of Cuiying Honors College, had a meeting with students with the theme of rambling about learning.

During the meeting, Professor He Deyan was concerned about the mental health of the students during the epidemic, and discussed with them about their studies and life issues, giving them many suggestions. As for the students' concern about exchange abroad, Prof. He encouraged them to firstly cultivate international awareness and expand their international vision; secondly, they should build a good language foundation and pass the foreign language barrier. After the epidemic and other conditions allow, we will strive to go abroad to carry out semester-long exchanges. Professor He suggested that students should coordinate and communicate with their teachers to create an efficient classroom.

On the morning of November 8, Mr. Wang Yongren, Vice Dean of Cuiying Honors College, held a meeting with students on the topic of "Academic Competition and Innovative Practice".

During the meeting, Mr. Wang introduced the types and organization of academic competitions, explained his understanding of the relationship among the classroom, research training and academic competitions, and talked about the role of academic competitions in promoting the direction of research training, the orientation of their goals and team spirit. At the same time, Mr. Wang Yongren interacted with the students on how to organize academic competitions well.

On the afternoon of November 9, Mr. Nie Chengjun, a lecturer in the College of Literature and the academic advisor of the Humanities class in Cuiying Honors College, conducted a communication session on the theme of "Writing about the Plague" through an online meeting.

During the meeting, Mr. Nie introduced the book "The Plague" to the students and compared the important parts of the book with other famous books in the world, such as Kafka's "The Metamorphosis", to guide them to understand the author's psychology.
