Cuiying Honors College invited Prof. Hui Xinping from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering to deliver a training sessionon the afternoon of October 9,whichthemed "Chemistry Professional Competitions and Innovation Contests" in Room 912 of Zhiyuan Building. The session was attended by 2022, 2023 and 2024 cohorts of chemistry students from Cuiying Honors College, as well as other interested students on campus.

Prof. Hui organized key information about national and provincial competitions, explained entry requirements, submission standards and review procedures for various contest tracks. He also shared Lanzhou University’s past award achievements in these competitions, summarized the university’s performance over the years, and analyzed experiences and shortcomings to guide students in their preparation.

He emphasized that participating in high-level competitions can enhance students’ professional literacy and innovation capabilities, and also serve as a bonus in comprehensive evaluations. He advised students to form teams early, engage in lab practices to solidify professional knowledge, and develop systematic preparation plans under faculty guidance to advance their competition readiness efficiently.
